Many books cover colors, but few cover shapes, so this is a nice one to pass around in my Spanish classes, along with this author's other titles. I love that this book encourages you to do both traditional science activities (run experiments, do projects, write and research) along with some non-traditional ones (make your own periodic table, creative writing about inventions, watching science videos, writing biographies of scientists). The book is more picture and less history than I expected. Thank you Les for another brilliant addition to my book shelf at work. I saw the good, the bad, and the ugly. The stories are interesting and easy to relate to, which I appreciated.I think the most powerful aspect of Untangled, though, is Damour's ability to talk about this potentially tense subject in a straightforward and honest way while also remaining patient with and kind to both young girls AND their parents. Some of the chapters are in fact brilliant short stories. Good. The author presents no convincing evidence her dead husband was the Zodiac killer, however, the writing style is not bad and tells the sad saga of a terribly abusive marriage, I cannot fathom why she and the three children continued to live with a maniac..
