The topics are all explained on a basic level for someone who knows little or nothing about Jazz. It's already helped me develop better skills in figuring out nearly all the varied groups of gulls around us here more quickly than I would have heretofore thought possible. The Gossamer Winged section, for example, details Harvester butterflies along with Gray, Coral, Banded, Striped, Great Purple, Colorado, Juniper and Hessel's Hairstreaks; American, Bronze, Ruddy, Blue and Purplish Coppers; Western and Eastern Tailed Blues; Acmon and Melissa Blues; and Spring Azure Complex butterflies. The individual write-ups typically are one page in length with an accompanying color photograph and brief information on identification, habitat, food sources, similar species, mating flights and distribution. Includes the following Jonathon Robbins originals; The Five Seventeen, Blue Boppin' Bossa, Assembly Line, Ba-do-ba-dee-bop, Lazy Summer, Two Note Blues, Mr. With 22 new jazz duets edited and arranged by Jonathon Robbins, this time written in accommodating keys. The CD is recorded in the same fashion as Volume 1 whereas the duet is played in entirety (both parts) if your stereo is evenly balanced. Modulation, Strolling Down the Avenue, The Do Nothing Blues, Road Trip, Runaway Blues, Hazy Sunset, Rainy Afternoon Blues, Blue Lullaby, Variations, Monday Morning Blues, I can't Stop, Making the Best of It, Kickin' Back, Deep in Thought, The River Keeper Blues and Until Next Time.. Originally written for trumpet, so this is where this whole series all began. Move the balance to right or left channel to isolate the top or bottom (1st or 2nd) part and play along with Chris Tedesco, one of the best studio trumpet players in Los Angeles today.
