I bought this book hoping it would have "tips" and "tricks" etc and maybe some pictures walking you through the process. Ballast ARE 4.0 practice exam books are crucial for success with the NCARB ARE 4.0 test.This book will help you understand the vignettes, and is excellent compliment to the official practice test that is published by NCARB.This book only helps you with the graphic vignettes in the Schematic Design ARE test, but has more information on how to approach the logic of organizing elements, and drafting a solution fast, which is the most critical in this test.I recommend the entire series of 4.0 sample questions and practice tests to anyone preparing to endure and successfully complete the ARE test.This book will help you with a couple examples of interior layout, and building layout, the only setback is that practice has to be done in paper and pencil, or another drafting software, not the actual NCARB exam software.This is worth its price, cause it will help you prepare for this special test.. It is quite literally (almost) worthless. There are some really VERY useful visual guides there too All free and will help you more than any book.
